ANACOSTIA RIVER FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES:
Learn to Row and Learn to Paddle!
Through its ten scholastic and community-based member organizations, the Anacostia Community Boathouse Association will provide learn to row and learn to paddle opportunities at the festival. Come to the ACBA tent to sign up and learn about the many non-motorized watersport activities that we offer to youth, college students, adults, seniors, and athletes with disabilities.
Boats Available to Row and Paddle at the Festival:
2 Rowing barges (each holds 8 people)
2 Dragon boats (each holds 15 people)
2 Outrigger canoes (each holds 6 people)
All boats provide a safe, stable platform and are built to teach novice rowers and paddlers. Anyone under the age of 13 is required by law to wear a personal flotation device. Life jackets for kids and adults will be provided.
