Donate to ACBA
In 2020, ACBA's operations were significantly limited due to restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these restrictions, ACBA’s nine clubs and organizations provided opportunities for nearly 600 rowers and paddlers to participate in nearly 2,000 organized practices at and from the boathouse, focusing on single person watercraft. On our racks and docks, ACBA stored 231 non-motorized watercraft and 29 motorized launches. ACBA organizations sponsored and supported inclusivity on the Anacostia River with the following programs; Athletes Without Limits (youths with intellectual disabilities), Capital Adaptive Rowing Program (adults and youths with physical disabilities), We Can Row (cancer Survivors and Patients), and Medstar Hospital National Rehabilitation Rowing program (adults with physical disabilities, including wounded warriors). ACBA held two community bioswale cleanups. While our seven major regattas were cancelled, we did support a virtual regatta in June, and hosted one small in-person regatta in October.
ACBA is a Non-Profit Organization
ACBA is a 501(c)3 organization; governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and IRS Form 990s are available on Guidestar.org (ACBA Guidestar link). Donations to ACBA will be used for improvements and upgrades to Boathouse facilities, with a focus on improving our bathroom, locker, and indoor practice facilities.
